After working with over 300 clients over the past two years, one thing keeps coming up in nearly every session:
💬 “I don’t feel like I’m good enough.”
Whether it’s anxiety, relationship struggles, or low mood at the root, I often find a deep lack of self-worth.
Good news is, this can be rebuilt.
Here are 3 gentle, practical ways I guide clients to start strengthening self-esteem:
✅ 1. Identify Your Inner Critic’s Voice
Notice how often you speak to yourself harshly. Would you say those same words to a friend? Probably not.
Start replacing criticism with compassion, even just once a day.
✅ 2. Track “Small Wins” Daily
Self-worth grows in the small moments. Write down 3 things you did well today, even if it’s “I got out of bed” or “I asked for help.”
Tiny wins build quiet confidence over time.
✅ 3. Uncover the Story You’re Carrying
Ask yourself: Where did I learn to believe I’m not enough? That question alone can open the door to healing.
In therapy, we gently challenge the old narrative and build a new one rooted in truth.
Keep in mind, these aren’t quick fixes but they are powerful starts.
